Una grande piazza, un grande museo
Piazza del Duomo, the heart of the city of Florence, gets 8 million visitors each year and is essentially “one big piazza, and one big museum.” Now you can enter all 5 of the related monuments with one easy ticket costing €10. In fact, the Museum of the Duomo is being renovated as well as the restoration of 40 thousand square meters of marble surfaces within the piazza, with the addition of new urban furniture.
One single ticket will allow access to the sights of the Complex of Santa Maria del Fiore: Brunelleschi’s Dome, Giotto’s Bell Tower, the Baptistery of San Giovanni Battista, the Crypt of Santa Reparata in Florence Cathedral and the Duomo Gallery now comprise “The Great Cathedral Museum.”
The ticket price is €10 and gives the right of access to all the 5 monuments. The ticket must be used by midnight on the sixth day from the day of purchase or by any other day chosen by the purchaser. Access to the monuments is permitted within 24 hours starting from the time of access to the first monument. The same ticket can not be accessed twice at the same monument.
For more information and opening hours, see the OFFICIAL WEBSITE of Il Grande Museo del Duomo. Please also note: this blog does not sell tickets. Purchase tickets and find information here: http://www.museumflorence.com/
