On Tuesday, in the SACI Gallery, The Wonder Room by Lia Halloran opened. The exhibition of Halloran’s photographic series of monkeys and birds studied at La Specola intrigued viewers who tried to understand her undefined technique, “not entirely drawing, nor entirely a photograph either.”

On January 23 at 6:30pm, the artist will be giving a presentation about her work and her career in SACI’s Clayton Hubbs Lecture Hall (Palazzo dei Cartelloni), open to the public. Halloran is a SACI alumna (Fall 1997-Spring 1998) and Assistant Professor at the Chapman University Department of Art. Here are some images from the opening night.
