Vito Acconci – Michelangelo Pistoletto. Allo Specchio

On the occasion of the exhibition Vito Acconci – Michelangelo Pistoletto. The Mirror at the Pecci Museum in Milan, the Center for Contemporary Art Luigi Pecci in Prato in collaboration with the Schermo dell’arte Film Festival is screening:

Michelangelo Pistoletto

Friday, March 28th, 6pm
Auditorium of the Centro per l’Arte Contemporanea Luigi Pecci
Viale della Repubblica 277, Prato (Art Hotel side)

The essence of the art of Michelangelo Pistoletto lies in the attitude relating to reality with the intent to actively intervene on society. The images of the ‘mirror paintings’, among the most famous and significant of the long path of the artist, introduce and accompany this portrait-interview virtually replacing the questions of the director. The film was shot largely in the frame of Cittadellarte in Biella on the eve of last year’s exhibition at the Louvre in Paris in which Pistoletto was the protagonist.

The exhibition Vito Acconci – Michelangelo Pistoletto. Allo Specchio is open until April 5, 2014:

Museo Pecci Milan, Ripa di Porta Ticinese 113 ½ – Milan, ITALY
Public transportation: M2 Porta Genova, tram 2 Ripa Ticinese d’Adda
Open Tuesday to Saturday, 3-7pm
Closed Mondays and holidays
