Open Design Call: Competition for New Identity Brand

There is still time until September 10, 2014 to participate in the competition for the Center for Contemporary Art Luigi Pecci in Prato (near Florence). The contemporary art museum has opened a competition for the creation of the new corporate image. The call is open to international designers, professionals, design firms, advertising agencies, and artists skilled in the use of graphic techniques. Participants must send a C.V. and portfolio with projects similar to this sent to email@example.com. A jury will select 5 finalists who will be invited to make a logo and related applications. Among them will be chosen a winner who will have the task of realizing the entire corporate image.
The new identity of the Pecci Museum, which is preparing to inaugurate the new wing designed by architect Maurice Nio in the spring of 2015, requires a new graphic image that captures the essence of the center’s mission: a place of interest and production of all the arts — not only visual ones — with exhibitions and events carried out not only in museums but also in those of the city, creating a strong relationship with the land, trying to reconnect art to society and projecting it in a global dimension. The project for a new corporate image of the center must be the new role of the institution, emphasizing its originality and change the existing formula. The brand must be recognizable and may also be based on the current logo of the Centro Pecci, modifying it in relation to the new structure, but it can even be completely transformed.
