Lost In Florence celebrates the best venues in the city and beyond the obvious, the little back streets and studios you want to discover and get lost in… Open Studio Weekend is the first 2-day event giving you access to unique spaces in Florence; some hidden and normally not open to the public, others are to be discovered and open especially for this event. All spaces are worth visiting to experience this unique side of Florentine life.
12 unique artisan studios are taking part and a free downloadable map is designed for you to take a tour of Florence by visiting all 12 studios, like a magical mystery trail where you can be led to secret courtyards, old convents, to press a buzzer which opens the grand door into a wondrous palace…but only for two days on the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, October 18-19, 2014. All studios are open from 12pm until 6pm, with added suggested pit-stops for wine or café along the way.
Come visit SACI Jewelry instructor, Naomi Muirhead | art925 in the art studio where SACI craft classes are taught: Jewelry Design, Serigraphy, and Batik. See what it entails to work with metal and other materials to create a piece of jewelry and learn what it is like to be an artisan in Florence.
