Ephemera 21

Opening: Thursday, October 30 from 6:30-9:30pm
On Thursday, October 30, 2014, Andrew Clark Photography is showcasing the remarkably passionate art of Denise Susanne Townsend, at their 21st ephemera.

Astoundingly, Denise launched her painting career only two years ago after earning her Master of Fine Arts degree from the San Francisco Art Institute in 2012, far later in life than most professional artists. Denise started painting shortly before receiving her Post Baccalaureate certificate from Studio Art Centers International in Florence in 2009 and already held a Masters in Creative Arts in Learning.

Andrew Clark is honored to present Denise’s show of exquisite oil paintings, together with a body of her newest work, painted with milk, stone, earth and ash. Gracefully embodying an elegant spirit of raw artistic expression, Denise paints how she feels and her passionate insights emanate from the deepest layers of her canvasses. Her work is utterly captivating.

If you are new to ephemera, they are all wonderfully eye-opening events; ephemera is a monthly pleasure scheduled on the third Thursday of each month. It is always intimate, beautifully presented, appropriate for the invitees, inspiring to us all and, hopefully, uniquely enjoyable. ephemera is a miniaturized and modern version of the grand artists’ salons of 1800’s Paris; an elegant party hosted for the discerning few, where the new, the unusual, the daring and the surprising will always be found.
