Metamorphosi Controllate, an exhibition by Friend of SACI, Edoardo Malagigi, opens at the Sensus Gallery, Viale Gramsci 42a in Florence, Friday, November 14 at 6pm. The exhibition can be seen through February 28, 2015.

Things and objects are transformed continuously, organic ones belonging to the natural world that take their course of life, affected by the weather and the relentless human activity, all within the time capsule they occupy. Malagigi intervenes on that which is elaborated by man. He chooses from varying stages of the industrial chain production of objects, from the point of their commercial desirability to the point when they become over-produced unwanted waste. This delicate threshold, a metaphor of consumerism, is maintained by Malagigi with the artifice of art in a state of continuing artificial life beyond its expiration date, allowing an eternal state of use, which goes beyond the membership in the world of physical matter to become pure thought. — Curated by Claudio Cosma
