LISA NOCENTINI: Fuggevoli Presenze
January 15 – February 26, 2015
Fuggevoli Presenze is an installation by SACI Ceramics Instructor, Lisa Nocentini, consisting of 50 carts connected in a sinuous path, seemingly infinite. Each cart presents us with an unexpected scene, and each narrative takes us to an imaginary and parallel world of curiosities. The exhibition opened last week in SACI’s Maidoff Gallery – see images below. See more images of Fuggevoli Presenze in detail.
SACI’s 3D Area Head, Lisa Nocentini received a Diploma of Applied Arts in Painting and Ceramics, Istituto d’Arte di Porta Romana, Florence; studied painting at the Accademia di Belle Arti, Florence and painting and ceramics at the Ecole des Beaux Arts, Aix-en-Provence, France. Also studied ceramics with English potters David Leach and John Colbeck and, from 1978 to 1981, served as assistant to Bruno Gambone. Since 1982, has worked as a professional potter in Florence and participated in exhibitions and competitions in Italy, Germany, and Switzerland.
An article about the exhibition was featured in the January 20, 2015 edition of La Nazione in the Giorno e Notte Firenze section (p. 22), ‘Fuggevoli presenze’ Umanità in treno.
