SACI MFA 2016 Commencement at the Palazzo Medici Riccardi in Florence, Italy

SACI 2016 MFA Commencement graduates

On April 22, 2016, the commencement ceremony for SACI’s second group of MFA in Studio Art and the first group of MFA in Photography students was held at the Palazzo Medici Riccardi in the Sala Luca Giordano. A video by SACI MFA in Studio Art alum, Christina Gednalske introduced the guests. SACI President, Steven Brittan welcomed graduate program Directors and seminar instructors, Karen Yurkovich, Daria Filardo, Romeo Di Loreto, and Jacopo Santini shared their reflections on the students of whom they mentored for two years. The Keynote Address was given by Mary Ellen Strom, Artist & Director of the MFA Program at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts (Boston). Degrees were awarded by SACI Founder and Director Emeritus, Jules Maidoff.

Two graduate art exhibitions were in also program: U-Turn at the Biagiotti Progetto Arte Gallery (with catalog) and Something Familiar at Le Murate Progetti Arte Contemporanea Gallery in Florence, Italy.
