La Ville Ouverte | Mediterranean Landscapes is an international residency program open to visual artists under-34 working in Italy, Belgium, Slovenia, Tunisia and Lebanon. The program is curated by Giuditta Nelli and Marco Trulli, in cooperation with Arci Nazionale (Italy), A-POIS Art Projects to Overcome Impossibile Sites Pelagica (Fabrizio Vatieri and Laura Lecce), MEDITERRANEA 18 Young Artists Biennale 2017, and the Skuc association from Slovenia.

Open to artists under-34 working in Italy, Belgium, Slovenia, Tunisia and Lebanon.
Deadline for application: September 11st 2016

Six selected artists will participate in a research path in Italy (Tigullio and Tuscia) and Slovenia (Ljubljana), producing a series of artworks. The productions will not be site-specific, but they will reflect on the regular features of the Mediterranean landscape and on the attempts to create a common geography of reference points, always looking for a shared identity related to migrations and transformations.

The final outcomes of the residency will be presented during Mediterranea 18 Young Artists Biennale that will take place in May 2017 in Tirana and Durrës (Albania).

The deadline for the submission of applications is September 11, 2016, and the residences will be held in in Tuscia and Tigullio (Italy) on October 21 to 30 and in Ljubljana (Slovenia) from October 31 to November 7. No application fee required, and some travel expenses provided by the organization.
