Through April 8, 2017
SACI’s Maidoff Gallery, Florence
Broken Windows opened in SACI’s Maidoff Gallery last week with video projections and installations by Tatiana Stadnichenko, a Russian artist, recently graduated from the Bergen Academy of Art in Norway. Her work explores the physical and mental boundaries of public spaces through architectural details, stored in our collective memory. She examines how the moving images of urban places can act as abstract contemplations of spaces. She investigates how urban landscapes are shaping our identity, lifestyle, and behavior in the historical point of time when migration, nomadism, globalization, and the mix of nations are reaching a critical point.
